Nexans accelerates cable growth and plans additional production investment

Nexans ($NEX) reported third-quarter 2026 sales of €1.70 billion at standard metal prices, up 21.4% overall and 9.0% organically. Grid and connection products led growth, while transmission sales fell 4.0% organically against a demanding comparison. Nine-month sales reached €4.95 billion on the same metal-price basis, increasing 10.1% overall and 3.9% organically; acquisitions supplied a substantial part of the expansion.

The group plans approximately €62 million of investment over several years to increase medium-voltage accessories capacity in Europe and the United States. It retained 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of €770–840 million and free cash flow of €235–325 million. The outlook excludes execution of the Great Sea Interconnector project during 2026 and any future acquisitions. Transmission’s adjusted backlog was €7.8 billion, but that order book should not be treated as immediately recognised revenue.
