Nu launches US services and a separate international money platform

Nu ($NU) announced its entry into the United States and introduced Nu Global as a separate international offering. The US launch includes an account delivered through FDIC-insured Lead Bank and a Mastercard credit-card proposition. The move extends Nu’s geographic reach beyond its established Latin American markets, while its own US national-bank charter remains conditionally, rather than finally, approved.

Nu Global targets customers in more than 35 countries with multicurrency services using USDC and EURC stablecoins. That product should not be confused with the US partner-bank account: a stablecoin balance is not the same thing as an FDIC-insured bank deposit. Availability is being introduced through signup and early-access processes. The announcement expands Nu’s addressable markets, but does not quantify how quickly the new businesses will contribute revenue or profit.
