Nuvectis’ partner reports expanded glioma responses for experimental BRAF inhibitor
Nuvectis ($NVCT) reported expanded Phase 1b results for NXP200 from partner Haisco’s Chinese study in recurrent or progressive BRAF V600-mutated glioma. Tumor responses occurred in eight of twenty evaluable patients with high-grade disease and three of seven with low-grade disease. The groups included three and one complete responses, respectively, although one high-grade complete response remained preliminary. Median response duration in high-grade glioma was 6.97 months.
This is indirect partner exposure for Nuvectis, which holds exclusive development rights outside Greater China and plans a US investigational filing by year-end. Among 28 patients assessed for safety, 14.3% experienced severe treatment-related adverse events; none caused discontinuation or death. The small, uncontrolled trial adds clinical detail but cannot establish comparative effectiveness. NXP200 remains investigational, and an intended filing is not permission to market the drug.
