Nvidia adds $150 billion to its share-repurchase authorization
Nvidia ($NVDA)’s board has approved another $150 billion of share repurchases, taking the amount still available under its program to $235 billion. The company expects to carry out the remaining program through fiscal 2028. Management linked the decision to cash generation from artificial intelligence and accelerated computing, while saying the business would continue investing in its technology portfolio.
The authorization significantly expands the capital Nvidia can return to shareholders, but it does not mean that $150 billion of stock has already been purchased. The execution timetable is a company expectation rather than a completed distribution. Actual repurchases and their effect on the share count will depend on implementation; the announcement supplies neither a fixed daily buying schedule nor a guaranteed purchase price.
