Ondine starts paid Steriwave pilots at two hospitals in Mexico's Angeles network

Ondine Biomedical announced on 7 September 2026 that paid Steriwave pilots are underway at Hospital Angeles Acoxpa in Mexico City and Hospital Angeles Valle Oriente in Monterrey.

Commercial scope

The wider Angeles network has 27 hospitals and performs approximately 150,000 surgeries annually, according to the company. Today's announcement concerns two pilot sites; it does not confirm deployment across all 27 hospitals.

Steriwave uses a light-activated nasal-disinfection procedure that takes approximately five minutes. Ondine presents the pilots as an opportunity to assess adoption within a large private hospital group.

What the evidence does and does not show

The release references previously announced Phase 3 topline results involving 5,188 patients and a reported 40% reduction in infections. That is background to the commercial pilot, rather than a new clinical readout today.

No contract value or revenue forecast was disclosed. The meaningful next steps are completion of the pilots, the hospitals' evaluation and any conversion into recurring use or a broader rollout.

Paid evaluation provides a commercial foothold, but network-wide revenue remains dependent on subsequent decisions.
