OPmobility signs binding agreement for Hyundai Mobis lighting business

OPmobility ($OPM) signed an agreement to acquire all of Hyundai Mobis’ lighting activity at an enterprise value of KRW600 billion, approximately €390 million using the exchange rate specified by the company. The business recorded about KRW2.5 trillion, or €1.6 billion, of annual revenue and a positive operating margin. Its industrial footprint includes five plants across South Korea, China, Mexico and the Czech Republic.

The acquisition would expand OPmobility’s lighting operations and strengthen relationships with Hyundai and Kia while adding production capacity in several regions. This is a definitive agreement following earlier exploratory discussions, not a completed purchase. Closing is expected in the second half of 2027 and remains subject to competition and other regulatory approvals. Enterprise value is not automatically equivalent to the final equity cash payment, and the target’s revenue remains outside OPmobility’s consolidated results until completion.
