Oracle adds $700 million to restructuring budget
Oracle ($ORCL) increased the budget for its fiscal 2026 restructuring plan by $700 million to approximately $2.8 billion, according to a new filing reported by Reuters. The spending covers items including severance and contract exits, with AI adoption among the factors behind the changes.
The filing followed the company’s quarterly results, which showed a $664 billion remaining-performance-obligation backlog. That backlog is contracted future business, not revenue already earned. The fresh development is the larger restructuring commitment, rather than a second earnings announcement.
