Parabilis advances desmoid-tumor program after updated response data
Parabilis Medicines ($PBLS) reported a 72.2% response rate for investigational zolucatetide in a 32-week analysis of desmoid-tumor patients who started at doses of at least 450 milligrams. That figure represents 13 responses among 18 evaluable patients at the landmark. Across the broader group of 46 response-evaluable patients receiving those starting doses, disease control was 100%, with no disease progression reported.
The company also disclosed FDA alignment on dosing, a placebo-controlled design and progression-free survival as the primary endpoint for the planned PEDESTAL Phase 3 trial. It targets initiation in the first half of 2027 and topline results in 2029. No patients discontinued because of treatment-related adverse events. These early results and trial-design discussions advance the program, but the small landmark subset and ongoing follow-up limit conclusions about eventual effectiveness.
