Prospex advances Selva permitting and reports stronger operating cash generation
Prospex Energy updated its European portfolio on 7 September 2026.
Italy
The environmental application for four Selva Malvezzi wells has been declared admissible, opening a 60-day public-observation period. This is a permitting stage, not final drilling approval.
August realised gas pricing was €0.67 per standard cubic metre. A new 12-month gas-sales agreement with Hera starts 1 October. Seismic interpretation will guide the planned 2027 drilling programme and a subsequent independent resource report.
Spain
El Romeral generated €179,400 of electricity revenue in August. Management says operator Tarba has become self-sufficient on a current cash basis; a new transformer should reduce costs.
At Viura, the operator generated €4.15m of Q2 cash revenue against €3.59m of cash operating expenditure. These are operator-level figures, not automatically Prospex's attributable revenue or profit.
What follows
The important milestones are environmental approval, transformer installation and funding for 2027 development. Work in Poland remains focused on technical evaluation and potential partners; it does not yet establish a financed development programme.
