Reabold declares its Union Jack Oil offer final
Reabold Resources ($RBD) declared its all-share offer for Union Jack Oil ($UJO) final and said it would not increase the terms, subject to specified exceptions. It reserved the right to revise the financial terms if a third-party bid emerges or the Takeover Panel gives exceptional consent. The statement follows Union Jack’s board rejecting the offer.
Reabold disputes the target board’s assessment of its finances, asset value and the transaction’s merits. Those arguments represent the bidder’s position, not an independent valuation or a recommendation to shareholders. The offer remains open under the existing timetable and conditions; neither the final-offer statement nor the response to Union Jack’s circular establishes that the acquisition has succeeded or become unconditional.
