RELX maintains its outlook as legal and risk analytics drive growth
RELX ($REL) reported 7% underlying revenue growth for the first nine months of 2026 and reaffirmed its 2026 outlook. Legal revenue increased 10%, supported by adoption of AI-enabled research and analytics tools, while Risk grew 8% as financial-crime compliance, fraud, identity and insurance products expanded. Scientific, Technical and Medical revenue rose 6%, and Exhibitions increased 4%.
The mix continues to shift toward analytics and decision tools, supporting management’s expectation of strong revenue, adjusted operating-profit and constant-currency adjusted earnings-per-share growth. In the three information businesses, underlying adjusted operating-profit growth is expected to exceed revenue growth. Exhibitions remained affected by disruption in the Middle East, which is excluded from that division’s full-year growth outlook. The underlying revenue measures also remove currency movements, acquisitions, disposals and specified print, exhibition-cycle and timing effects.
