Rights & Issues launches a management review after two investment managers plan to leave

Rights & Issues Investment Trust announced on 7 September 2026 that it will review its asset-management options following changes at Jupiter.

What changed

Jupiter has announced that Matt Cable and Tim Service, the trust's investment managers, will leave in early 2027. The trust's board responded by stating its intention to review arrangements for managing its assets.

The announcement does not name replacement managers, appoint another management firm or terminate the existing mandate.

Why the review matters

A manager transition can affect investment continuity, decision-making and the rationale shareholders originally had for owning an actively managed trust. A board review gives directors an opportunity to assess succession arrangements and alternatives before the departures.

It is too early to infer that the portfolio will be liquidated, the investment policy changed or the trust sold. None of those outcomes was announced.

The next substantive update should explain the chosen management arrangement, transition timetable, fees and approach to portfolio continuity. Until then, the development is a governance and succession issue with an unresolved outcome.
