Republic Services raises guidance and authorizes $5 billion of future repurchases

Republic Services ($RSG) increased its 2026 revenue outlook to $17.425–17.475 billion and adjusted EBITDA forecast to $5.550–5.575 billion. Expected adjusted free cash flow rose to $2.565–2.585 billion. The board also authorized a new $5 billion repurchase program running from January 2027 through December 2029. That future authorization is separate from the $800 million remaining under the existing program at the end of September.

Third-quarter 2026 revenue grew 8.2%, supported by pricing, environmental services and acquisitions. Net income increased to $592 million, or $1.93 per diluted share, from $550 million and $1.76. Adjusted EPS rose more modestly to $1.94 from $1.90. Waste and recycling volumes reduced revenue growth by 0.6 percentage points, qualifying the otherwise stronger sales picture and showing the contribution from pricing and business mix.
