Snap introduces cross-device AI service alongside new Specs experiences
Snap ($SNAP) introduced Specs Intelligence, an AI service designed to work across iPhone, Mac and its augmented-reality glasses. The broader service uses information from accounts users choose to connect to anticipate relevant reminders and actions. A US iOS preview is available to adults, while access to the fuller Mac experience is invitation-only through a waitlist.
The mobile preview focuses on insights from Gmail and Google Calendar and does not yet include the broader service’s anticipatory actions. Snap also announced new AR experiences, partnerships and a charging case with cellular connectivity. These expand the Specs platform rather than representing the first announcement of the glasses themselves. Snap said connected personal content would not be used to train its AI models or serve personalized advertisements; that is the company’s stated policy.
