Ukraine confirms restored Starlink and Starshield service for fast-moving terminals

Ukraine's defence ministry confirmed that SpaceX ($SPCX)'s Starlink and Starshield connections were again stable on terminals moving faster than 400 kilometres per hour, following earlier restrictions. The figure describes movement of connected equipment, rather than internet download speed. The ministry said the recovery supports frontline communications, drone operations and logistics, while its specialists continue to monitor service performance.

Reuters reported that the disruption had lasted more than a week and impaired military operations. Restored access removes an immediate operational constraint for an important government user of SpaceX's satellite infrastructure. Responsibility for imposing the restrictions remained disputed: neither Musk nor the US government acknowledged ordering them. No associated revenue change or compensation was disclosed, so the update establishes a service recovery rather than a quantified financial benefit.
