Terex completes sale of Capacity Trucks and LayMor to Right Lane

Terex ($TEX) sold Capacity Trucks and LayMor to private industrial group Right Lane Industries, which confirmed completion of the transaction. The buyer acquired all membership interests in both businesses, and financial terms were not disclosed. Capacity produces terminal tractors used to move trailers around ports, rail terminals and distribution centers; LayMor makes ride-on sweepers for construction, municipal and rental customers.

Both operations are based in Longview, Texas, and will continue under their existing brands, management teams and workforce. Terex will provide transition services for a defined period following closing. The disposal removes two specialized equipment businesses from the group while supporting continuity for their customers. Because the announcement provides neither the sale price nor the businesses’ earnings, the cash proceeds and effect on Terex’s future profitability cannot be quantified from this release.
