TSMC reports record monthly revenue as sales rise 53%

TSMC ($TSM) reported monthly revenue of NT$514.8 billion, up 53.3% from a year earlier and 10.1% from the preceding month. The result set a new monthly sales record for the chip manufacturer. Revenue for the first eight months of the year reached NT$3.39 trillion, an increase of 39.3%, extending the strong growth shown in its latest quarterly results.

The update provides another indication of the scale of demand reaching TSMC’s manufacturing network, although the monthly disclosure does not break revenue down by customer or end market. It also does not report earnings or margins. The company’s existing third-quarter revenue outlook remains the relevant quarterly reference point; this announcement should not be read as a newly issued profit forecast.
