Texas Instruments plans a 7% increase in its quarterly dividend
Texas Instruments ($TXN) announced plans to increase its quarterly dividend to $1.52 per share from $1.42, a rise of approximately 7%. That would lift the annualized distribution to $6.08 per share and mark the company’s 23rd consecutive year of dividend increases. The intended payment is scheduled for November, subject to the normal approval process.
Importantly, the increase still requires formal board declaration in October. The announcement therefore outlines a planned distribution rather than an already unconditional payment obligation. TI reiterated its objective of returning all free cash flow to shareholders over time. That policy does not guarantee a particular future buyback pace or dividend trajectory, and the release did not provide a new revenue or earnings forecast.
