Tyler Technologies sets up $260 million share-repurchase plan
Tyler Technologies ($TYL) entered a prearranged trading plan to repurchase up to $260 million of common stock through late October. The Rule 10b5-1 arrangement operates within the company’s existing share-repurchase program and sets a defined period for potential purchases. It does not add $260 million on top of the board’s previously authorized capacity.
Tyler reported approximately $1.416 billion of unused repurchase authorization when it adopted the plan. Buybacks are generally funded from cash balances and borrowing under its credit facility. The new filing establishes a mechanism to execute purchases under specified conditions, not confirmation that the shares have already been acquired. The broader authorization has no stated expiry, while this particular trading plan is time-limited.
