UFP plans $27 million Apache purchase to expand Gulf Coast pallet capacity

UFP Industries ($UFPI) announced a roughly $27 million purchase of Apache Products’ operating assets, including its real estate. Apache, which trades as Acme Skid, manufactures pallets in Silsbee, Texas. The business generates approximately $55 million in annual sales and has 165 employees. The transaction would enlarge UFP Packaging’s PalletOne manufacturing network in the Gulf Coast industrial market.

The planned integration would combine Apache’s local customer relationships and production capacity with UFP’s national packaging operations. Management sees opportunities to serve manufacturing, energy and petrochemical customers more broadly. Although the announcement describes an acquisition, it specifies an expected closing around November 16, 2026, so the purchase is still pending. UFP did not quantify expected earnings contributions or cost savings; Apache’s annual sales should not be treated as immediate incremental group revenue.
