URU completes the Zeb Nickel geological model and outlines resource drilling
URU Metals announced completion of an updated three-dimensional geological model for South Africa's Zeb Nickel project on 7 September 2026.
What the model supports
The work integrates historical drill holes and surveys to guide a planned programme targeting a maiden Zone 2 nickel-copper-platinum-group-elements resource and the Target 1 anomaly.
The drilling approach includes paired shallow and steep holes, with planned pads roughly 150–200 metres apart. It aims to test geological continuity and resolve areas inadequately covered by previous drilling.
Interpretation versus measurement
The model interprets a coherent mineralised horizon. Some gaps may reflect historic holes that stopped too early, although structural explanations have not been excluded.
No maiden mineral-resource estimate was announced today. A geological interpretation cannot establish tonnage, grade continuity, metallurgical recovery or economic mineability on its own.
The next evidence should be the execution of the drilling programme, assay results and the eventual independently supported resource statement. This update advances targeting and programme design, while leaving the central resource and economic questions open.
