Verimatrix returns to quarterly growth as licence sales rebound
Verimatrix ($VMX) reported third-quarter 2026 anti-piracy revenue of $10.4 million, up 20% from the comparable period. Non-recurring revenue rose 73% to $3.2 million, helped by stronger licence sales, while recurring revenue increased 5% to $7.2 million. Subscription annual recurring revenue reached $16.6 million, a 13% increase, although maintenance annual recurring revenue fell 13% to $11.2 million.
The rebound narrowed the decline in nine-month anti-piracy revenue to 3%, with sales of $31.6 million. Verimatrix retained its 2026 objective of returning that business to revenue growth and generating EBITDA above $3 million. Comparisons use a restated anti-piracy perimeter after the earlier disposal of its Extended Threat Defense product line. Annual recurring revenue is an annualised contract measure, not revenue already earned, and the full-year profit objective remains guidance.
