Vossloh secures another year of Deutsche Bahn rail-maintenance work

DB InfraGO extended its preventive rail-maintenance framework agreement with Vossloh ($VOS) for another year. The work uses high-speed grinding, allowing rails to be maintained within normal train schedules rather than requiring dedicated track closures. Vossloh said approximately 40,000 kilometers of track had already been treated and measured under the program, providing a reference base for the renewed contract.

The service also incorporates digital planning, laser-based rail measurements and crack detection to help target maintenance more precisely. The company said the technology had already created more than 4,800 hours of additional network capacity. Financial terms and guaranteed work volumes for the extension were not disclosed. The announcement represents a renewal of an established customer relationship, not a newly awarded order covering the entire historical 40,000-kilometer total.
