Vertiv agrees to acquire KES to broaden liquid-cooling services
Vertiv ($VRT) agreed to acquire King Environmental Services, expanding its fluid-management capabilities for data centers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. KES provides services including commissioning and load testing that support the operation of liquid-cooled infrastructure. The proposed purchase complements Vertiv’s existing North American fluid-management capabilities rather than introducing a new hardware platform on its own.
Completion is expected in the fourth quarter, subject to the remaining closing requirements. The announcement did not disclose a purchase price or quantify the acquired business’s expected revenue contribution. Vertiv’s rationale is to support customers through the deployment and operation of increasingly complex cooling systems. The transaction remains an agreement to acquire KES, not confirmation that ownership has already transferred or integration benefits have been realized.
