Verizon raises earnings guidance and signs an AI infrastructure agreement worth over $2 billion

Verizon ($VZ) increased its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings forecast to $5.04–$5.06 per share after third-quarter 2026 adjusted EPS rose 8.3% to $1.31. Revenue increased 1.5% to $34.3 billion, while net income reached $5.3 billion. The company added 406,000 postpaid phone customers and now expects 1.1–1.2 million additions for the year, strengthening its outlook for the core wireless business.

The telecom operator also signed an agreement valued at more than $2 billion with Amazon Web Services ($AMZN). It establishes a commercial framework for distributed computing and infrastructure serving generative and agentic AI workloads. The contract broadens Verizon’s role in supplying connectivity for AI infrastructure. Its stated value should not be treated as current-quarter revenue or immediate cash receipts; the release did not provide a full revenue-recognition schedule.
