WISeKey and SEALSQ outline Swiss post-quantum semiconductor center

WISeKey ($WKEY), SEALSQ ($LAES) and the Canton of Jura signed a memorandum of understanding for a Swiss post-quantum semiconductor and cybersecurity center. The proposed program envisages CHF40–60 million of investment over six years, covering chip personalization, secure firmware, testing, certification and, subsequently, application-specific chip design capabilities.

The investment range is indicative, not a financing package already committed or spent. Most funding is expected from the companies, private investors and industrial partners, with the detailed business plan, site arrangements and financing structure still to be developed. The center would support secure-chip infrastructure and associated employment if implemented. The memorandum establishes a cooperation framework; it is neither a completed facility nor a guaranteed source of future revenue for either listed company.
