Workhorse signs $10 million development agreement for modular AI infrastructure

Workhorse ($WKHS) signed an agreement under which RHAELM will pay $10 million in three installments for a full-scale TerraPod manufacturing specification unit at its Indiana facility. The modular data-center platform is intended to integrate computing, power distribution, cooling and communications into factory-built systems. The contract advances Workhorse’s move into AI infrastructure using its engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

A separate letter of intent contemplates a broader supply agreement and an initial order for 150 systems. That letter is non-binding: any production order depends on definitive documentation, platform acceptance and RHAELM approvals. The companies aim to sign the supply agreement by year-end, while Workhorse believes production could begin in late 2027 or early 2028. The $10 million development contract should be distinguished from the conditional, unbooked 150-unit opportunity.
