Ampeak appoints a second director nominated by its 29.6% shareholder
Ampeak Energy appointed Peter Parry as a non-executive director on 7 September 2026, effective immediately.
Shareholder nomination
Parry was nominated by SIMEC UK Energy Holding, which owns 29.6% of Ampeak, under the existing relationship agreement.
He is that shareholder's second nominated director, following Mark Dawber's appointment in July. This shareholder-nominated role should be distinguished from an appointment described as independent.
Experience and significance
Parry's background spans healthcare, housing and other organisations, including restructuring, refinancing and investment. The company highlights financial oversight, risk and board effectiveness.
The appointment increases the nominating shareholder's representation and provides another channel for oversight of Ampeak's energy-development strategy.
The release does not announce new funding for MeyGen or Uskmouth, a project approval or revised financial guidance. The next substantive developments remain project execution, financing commitments and how the board manages the interests of all shareholders.
