Bristol Myers raises its sales outlook as research charges reduce earnings guidance
Bristol Myers Squibb ($BMY) increased its 2026 revenue forecast to $49.75–$50.25 billion from $49.0–$50.0 billion after third-quarter 2026 sales rose 7% to $13.07 billion. Its Growth Portfolio generated approximately $7.7 billion, up 12%, supported by medicines including Breyanzi, Reblozyl and Camzyos. The expansion provides a stronger commercial base as the company invests in replacement growth products.
Quarterly adjusted EPS nevertheless fell 17% to $1.35, while reported EPS declined 3% to $1.05. Both measures included a net $0.58-per-share expense from acquired research charges and licensing income. Full-year adjusted EPS guidance fell to $6.35–$6.55 from $6.75–$7.00, incorporating a net $0.60 impact from those items. The sales upgrade therefore accompanies a lower earnings forecast, rather than an improvement across every financial measure.
