Salesforce completes its acquisition of customer-service AI company Fin

Salesforce ($CRM) completed its acquisition of Fin, the customer-service AI business formerly known as Intercom. Fin serves more than 30,000 companies and develops AI agents and models for customer support. The acquisition brings another established service platform into Salesforce’s portfolio alongside Agentforce, broadening the company’s options for businesses seeking to automate customer interactions.

Fin supports channels including chat, email, messaging and voice. Salesforce presented the combination as a way to pair Fin’s ready-to-use customer-service capabilities with Agentforce’s broader customization and enterprise integration. The company cited an average query-resolution rate of 76% for Fin, a vendor-reported operating measure rather than an independently assessed guarantee. The release confirms completion of the transaction; it does not disclose a purchase price or quantify the acquisition’s future contribution to Salesforce’s earnings.
