Ginkgo links laboratory data services with Lilly’s TuneLab platform

Ginkgo ($DNA) Bioworks entered an agreement to provide experimental data-generation services to companies using Lilly’s ($LLY) TuneLab AI drug-discovery platform. Its Datapoints offering will supply small-molecule and antibody developability testing, producing standardized datasets designed to feed back into predictive models used by participating biotech companies.

The collaboration aims to connect AI-generated research hypotheses with laboratory evidence, using automation to shorten the cycle between designing and testing potential medicines. TuneLab is part of Lilly’s Catalyze360 ecosystem, while Ginkgo supplies the testing services rather than acquiring a stake in Lilly. Financial terms and minimum testing volumes were not disclosed. The announcement concerns a research-service relationship, not clinical evidence that a new drug works or a regulatory approval for a treatment.
