Samsung pledges $1 billion to KKR-backed AI infrastructure platform

Samsung has committed $1 billion to Helix Digital Infrastructure, the AI-infrastructure company formed by KKR ($KKR). The pledge supplements more than $10 billion committed by founding investors, including KKR, Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia and Vistra. KKR funds sell 16 Japanese hotels while retaining management roles

KKR ($KKR)-managed funds completed the sale of 16 Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels across 11 Japanese cities to an unnamed institutional investor. The portfolio was acquired from Unizo Holdings in 2024 and subsequently renovated and repositioned with Marriott. The properties are located in established business and tourist markets, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Fukuoka.
