Nokia and C3IA agree framework for UK defense communications work

Nokia ($NOK) Defense and C3IA signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on digital capabilities for UK defense operations. The partnership combines Nokia’s connectivity technology with C3IA’s systems engineering, integration and security expertise. Areas of focus include tactical communications, private mobile networks, command-and-control systems, sensing and edge computing.

The agreement builds on the companies’ existing participation in the UK Ministry of Defence’s TacSys framework and is intended to improve interoperability across different operational environments. It establishes a collaboration framework, not a disclosed procurement award with a guaranteed value or deployment volume. The companies did not announce a financial contribution from the arrangement. Future deployments and their commercial terms will depend on further project-specific commitments.
