Roblox expands distribution and introduces creator wallet plans

Roblox ($RBLX) unveiled plans to let creators distribute games as standalone applications across mobile, PC and consoles, alongside browser-based play without an installation. It also announced a creator wallet designed to support real-currency earnings and automatic business-day payouts. Eligible US independent creators aged 18 and older are expected to receive the wallet first, with broader expansion planned later.

The company said creators earned approximately $1.7 billion over the past 12 months. That figure represents creator earnings, not Roblox’s own revenue. Other announced tools include AI-assisted game creation and expanded game-engine capabilities. Several features are scheduled for future rollout, so the announcement describes a product roadmap as well as current progress, rather than a complete launch of every feature.
