Roblox’s bookings decline despite revenue growth, with another weak quarter forecast
Roblox ($RBLX) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $1.57 billion, up 16%, while bookings fell 12% to about $1.70 billion. Daily active users declined 9% from a year earlier to 138 million, although they increased 12% sequentially. The company recorded a $230 million net loss and $364 million of free cash flow. The divergence reflects, in part, the timing difference between bookings and revenue recognition.
For fourth-quarter 2026, Roblox expects revenue of $1.47–1.58 billion and bookings of $1.89–2.00 billion, implying a 10–15% annual decline in bookings. It also forecasts a $105–190 million free-cash-flow outflow as capital spending reaches approximately $380 million. Bookings are not immediately recognized revenue: much of the spending is deferred over estimated player lifetimes, currently around 27 months.
